Why This is the Best Prep Class!

I wanted to find out why so many women found breastfeeding difficult, and what kind of techniques would be most helpful for them and their babies. I spent 2.5 years doing in-depth research in order to answer that question. I spent time observing several different lactation consultants in various locations where lactation help is given. I also interviewed breastfeeding moms. I have designed this class with what I learned from that research in mind.

There is a lot of information available in books and on the internet but how do you know what information to follow? When you take this class, you are getting an expert instructor who has teaching experience at the university level and elsewhere, who has a doctorate in medical anthropology specializing in lactation, and who is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

The class involves short videos so that you can see what breastfeeding looks like, and you get to keep PDF reference guides.

Above is an example of the types of videos you will get to see in this class. This clip shows a baby who has fallen asleep and is no longer getting any milk even though you can see movement. Learn how to tell the difference between this type of comfort nursing and active nursing, and a whole lot more!
